Maintenance

After completing a full two weeks of Induction, I feel confident that I will do well maintaining and continuing the Keto eating lifestyle to reach my goals. My appetite has been suppressed and food no longer controls me; I control what I eat. I can't wait to start exercising this week.  

3/7/2024 - I got my cycle and it's so much smoother than before when I was eating tons of junk food, sodas and sweets. I feel so much lighter and even wore an old work polo top I hadn't worn in a while. 

3/8/2024 - Today was the first day since I started that I didn't prepare my meals. I had Burger King sausage and egg with cheese for breakfast. Lunch was lemon pepper mild wings with celery and blue cheese dip. Dinner will be shrimp scampi and a small salad. 

3/11/2024 - It's spring forward and it will get dark later, so I plan to start power walking this week.   

3/12/2024 - My cycle is still on after my normal 5 day span. I'm sure it has to do with my body changing due to this way of eating and maybe the weight loss. Hopefully it goes back to normal. My meals have been pretty much the same as during Induction. I'm not as hungry these days, but I do eat something; even if it's just some protein or cheese. Having nuts and cheese sticks around helps also.    

3/15/2024 - As of today I am 224.6 lbs. That's a total loss of 14.6 lbs since my start date 2/21/24.  

3/19/2024 - I haven't weighed since last week. I feel lighter and of course my clothing are fitting loser. I also started exercising and feel great. One day and bite at a time. I can and will do this!   

3/20/2024 - I decided to jump on the scale this morning and I'm 223.4 lbs. That's 16 lbs down.  

3/22/2024 - Yesterday made a month of me eating low carbs. I feel great and my clothing are fitting so much better. I plan to start giving the bigger clothing away after I lose another 15 lbs.  

3/27/2024 - This morning I weighed in and was at a low of 221.6 lbs. My next mini goal is to reach 200 lbs. This is the lowest I have been in years. I can't wait to start wearing my smaller clothing. 

4/11/2024 - In less than a month, I'm down almost 25 lbs. I feel greater and greater as the days past by. I'm enjoying the foods that I'm eating and learning new ways to satisfy hunger and cravings for certain foods. I believe I'm doing so well this go round because I make preparation my top priority and I'm exploring with different foods and drinks. Publix has these sparkling water flavored drinks with no sugar and vitamins with antioxidants. I freeze them and make slushies to enjoy with dinner.

Day 14: Induction

I made it through another successful Induction and I'm so proud of myself. This has been a long time coming and I finally committed and stayed the course. I won't weight again until the end of the month. I'll start power walking around the neighborhood and doing more exercises to tone up. Weight - 228.8 lbs

Meals:
Breakfast - Scrambled eggs with cheese and sausage
Lunch - Chef salad with balsamic dressing
Dinner -Sauteed bell peppers and onions with beef

Day 13: Induction

I can feel the weight coming off and also how my clothing are fitting looser. The clarify of mind, and clearer skin is always a bonus to this eating lifestyle. I'm hoping to start walking on Wednesday evening.

Lunch - Chef salad with balsamic dressing
Dinner - Smoked chicken and broccoli with cheese

Day 10: Induction

I hopped on the scale this morning just because, and I'm at 230.6 lbs. My first mini goal is to get below the 230's and I'm almost there. I can't wait to start adding in some cardio next week. 

Meals:
Breakfast – Dunkin egg white cheddar and bacon omelets and sausage
Lunch – Cheeseburger and spinach
Dinner – Cobb salad
